Exotic weeds invade our gardens, and also our sea gardens. They can be pretty, but when they threaten the biodiversity of our local environment we need to worry!
Learn how to identify your local seaweeds and how to spot the invasive seaweed, Undaria. Can any good come from this exotic species that is invading our harbour?
This workshop includes a guided beach walk, a presentation on seaweeds found locally and their uses, and tastings of seaweeds, including Undaria. Come prepared for a variety of weather, and bring your gum boots. The event will happen, rain or shine.
