Judith Cullen Cooking Classes

A visit to Judith's seaside garden and a spring lunch demonstration.

Judith Cullen's seaside garden has developed from the coastal conditions and living 100m from St Clair beach. It has to encompass privacy from the road and beach goers in the summer and yet provide spaces for relaxation and outdoor eating, vegetable gardening and to supply fruit for cooking and (not so much anymore) a lawn for cricket.

The garden has developed into rooms and covers a variety of growing conditions to include structural green foliage, roses and Judith's favourite euphorbias.

Judith has held Cooking classes in her home since 1996 and is passionate about 'Cooking at Home' using fresh, seasonal produce from the Otago region. She encourages everyone to manage a vegetable and herb garden which is so rewarding and will provide nourishing ingredients all year round to use in family meals.

Classes are based around a seasonal menu and offer a variety of cooking styles and cultures, often introducing new ingredients or cooking methods. The recipes are easily achieved and can be used every day.
